The health of your physical body is a reflection of your cellular environment and how well you are digesting your foods, absorbing nutrients, making hormones, and eliminating waste. This encompasses many body systems and when one or more of your systems is not able to do its job, you will begin to experience symptoms in the weakest area(s) of your body. When your body is functioning optimally, you will experience health and vibrancy.
It is your dietary and lifestyle factors that allow or prevent most genetic predispositions (weaknesses) from manifesting as illness in the body. For instance, Type 2 diabetes may run in your family lineage, but through proper diet and exercise you can affect whether or not you will end up with this condition. Even some disorders, such as Autism, can be improved by changing your diet.
Your dietary choices are 80% responsible for how well your body functions…80%!!
Here at Essential Wellness, we believe that taking responsibility for your dietary and lifestyle choices is the best way you can direct your individual path of wellness.
Your individualized Nutrition & Wellness Plan and one-on-one coaching sessions will teach you how to:

- prep your foods for easy meal assembly and dine-out guidelines
- prepare and eat balanced meals and snacks (with some start-up recipes)

“I could actually feel the changes take place during my coaching sessions. I learned so much about myself and about creating a healthy lifestyle.” – Kelly R.
Before Your Wellness Coaching Program
We encourage you to contact us for a free 30-minute phone or Skype consult. During this free phone conversation, we’ll ask you to briefly share what is going on, where your problem areas are in your body, and what you’re hoping this program will help you change. During this question and answer process, we will share how we can help you.
We will make a decision to do one-on-one coaching or discuss the option of group coaching. Group coaching offers a more affordable program to you.
After you’ve committed to our Nutrition & Wellness Plan process, we will provide you with a coaching agreement to sign and return within 24 hours. You will also receive an intake packet to fill out and return within the next week so that we can compile your individualized Nutrition & Wellness Plan. We will also schedule your weekly appointments for the next 12 weeks.
During Your Wellness Coaching Program
At your first coaching session, your nutrition consultant will go over your intake packet with you, share the biggest secret to your success, and get you started with some basic dietary improvements. Coaching sessions can be in person, over the phone, or via Skype. If we do them over the phone, with your permission, they will be recorded and the replays will be available for you to listen to again.
At each future coaching session, your nutrition consultant will ask about your progress and success at implementing what you’ve previously committed to. This will give you an opportunity to discover what is working, what is not working, and why.
The next segment of your coaching session will be focused on sharing new information with you and answering any questions you may have about how to integrate it into your lifestyle. This will give you a new piece to your wellness formula each week.
The last segment of your coaching session will be focused on what your takeaway is from the new information presented and what your commitment will be for the next week.
“She suggested that some of the foods I might be eating could be an underlying cause of my allergies, sinus headaches, and acid reflux. Michele’s advice helped me clean up my diet through simple tips (like eating only fresh or frozen vegetables instead of canned vegetables).” – Arlene K.
Will this program guarantee my success?
Bottom line, your success is determined by you. We can teach you how to improve your diet and lifestyle choices, but you are the only one who can do the work of making them daily habits. When we look at the health spectrum, at one end is “optimal wellness” and at the other is “illness.” Your consistent daily healthy habits will power your movement toward optimal wellness.
What if it feels like I’m not making any progress?
Please share your concerns with us so that we can help you determine why you are not progressing. We may just need to tweak your program a little more. Over the course of working with many clients, we have found that the three key areas that can stall your progress are: hormone imbalances, impaired digestion and detoxification, and mental-emotional stress. Depending on your personal circumstances, we may recommend other therapies (such as those found in Body Balancing Therapies, Mental-Emotional Stress Release, or Detoxification Strategies). Or we may recommend that you get additional testing done by your physician (such as hormone testing or heavy metal testing).
After Your Wellness Coaching Program
You may notice immediate improvements in the way you feel, but noticeable improvements are not always experienced right away. However, you should notice improvement week to week as healthy habits have a compounding effect.
If improvements seem minimal, it may take more time practicing your healthy diet and lifestyle habits to see more significant results. We encourage you to share any concerns you have as they come up during your individualized 12-week program because we want you to succeed in achieving your wellness goals!
To effect the best possible outcome of your individualized program, you will want to integrate self-care habits such as having fun, reducing stress, relaxing, and getting optimal levels of sleep. Leaving your superhero cape off during your 12-week program is one of the most supportive choices you can make. Lack of self care can create stress which can stall your progress.
Will this program heal me?
Healing is always an inside job. It is accomplished by your individual life force; the coordination and cooperation of your physical, mental-emotional, and energy systems; and your willingness to take appropriate action steps to support change and improvement.
“I began a whole new approach, quit all the foods that were on the list, lost weight, changed my medications from prescription drugs to more healthy alternatives, exercise, and began going to a new form of clinic in Scranton with Michele Anderson doing new things to help me change my bad habits into good ones. She was very patient with me, and by working together for a period of time my health began to improve. I am convinced that she had a huge impact on my recovery period. - Peggy P.
Your nutrition consultant is not a healer. They have the ability to bring in a multi-faceted approach which increases the potency of your coaching sessions. To help you experience success with your wellness goals, we may recommend other techniques and therapies such as Herbal Medicine, Essential Oils, Flower Remedies.
Your nutrition consultant’s responsibility is to assess your imbalances and help you discover their root cause(s), provide you with the information and wellness tools that will help you re-establish healthy relationships inside your body, recommend complimentary therapies, while cheering you on and holding you accountable to your commitment(s). Reaching your wellness goal(s) is up to you.
