Because of the connection between your mind and body, your emotions play a vital role in how health is experienced in the physical body. Loss is an inevitable part of the human experience and can be defined as the loss of someone or something very dear to you. Grief is a natural part of the healing process. Although you process your loss and move through the spectrum of feelings associated with grief in your own way and on your own timeline, at some point you may need a little help.
You may experience grief for any of these losses:
- Death of a child, partner, sibling, parent, friend, or pet
- Relationship breakup, divorce
- Serious illness of self or a loved one
- Loss of a physical ability
- Loss of or change of job circumstances
- Loss of financial security
- Leaving home, moving to a new home
- Graduation from school
- Letting go of a long-held dream
Grief Release is a safe and gentle guided therapy session that combines Guided Imagery and the body balancing therapy of Core Synchronism. Guided imagery uses relaxation and mental visualization techniques to release stress and improve your physical and emotional well-being. To support any emotional release that you may experience during your session, we may integrate Essential Oils and/or Flower Remedies.
“Core sync is an added tool to the many things I have done to improve overall health and reduce stress. I would say the grief session was the most beneficial.” – TLM
During Your Therapy Session
We will begin your session with a quick question and answer to determine how you are feeling and where the problem areas are in your body. Sometimes unrelated symptoms give us clues about what is going in the physical body now, so be sure to give an honest account of all symptoms you are experiencing in the present moment even if they don’t appear to be related to the loss you are experiencing. The other purpose of the Q/A is to determine if you have sensitivities to aromas and to familiarize you with the routine so that you can let go and relax. Your comfort is our first priority, so please take this time to ask any questions or give us any feedback.
Your session will take place in a private therapy room or in the comfort of your own home via telephone or a Skype communication. We will be dialoguing through simple conversation, with you lying in a comfortable position. You will remain fully clothed.
Grief Release is accomplished through a very simple guided imagery conversation that discovers the deepest root of your loss, and supported by balancing techniques of Core Synchronism.
You may feel some discomfort during your session but this is only to help you release resistance to physical and emotional alignment and balance. Even if discomfort is felt, we will work within a level that is comfortably tolerable to you, based on your feedback throughout your session.
Will Grief Release challenge my religious views?
We have worked with people of different religions and spiritual views. Grief Release is a therapy that helps you to come into alignment with your loss. It helps you connect and partner with your higher power to understand, align and make peace with your experience in a gently way.
Will I have to relive my loss order for it to be released?
We will not regress you into reliving anything in your past. You do not have to talk about your trauma or dive into the details of your trauma. However, it is important that we check in with your emotions and how you feel. If you wish to talk about your past to let it out, we are here to support and facilitate the release and alignment process. Please know that we will never force you to resolve or let go of anything you do not what to change. We will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. You are always in the driver’s seat.
How long is a Grief Release session?
When you schedule your session, we will block a 2-hour timeframe for you but generally sessions last 60-90 minutes.
After Your Therapy Session
You should experience immediate relief from your Grief Release session. Emotional changes are normally felt instantly. Physical changes aren’t always felt immediately; however, you should expect pain levels to improve immediately. If more than one session is required, you should progressively feel improvement after each session.
Your mind-body will continue to unwind and integrate the benefits you received during your therapy session over the next 24-72 hours.
We will touch base with you the following week after your session to check on you. Your follow-up session will only address what we worked on in your last therapy session.
To effect the best possible integration of your therapy session, be sure to boost your consumption of purified water the day of your session and for 24-48 hours afterwards. Although not required, it would be ideal if you would honor your body by resting immediately following your therapy session. Celebrate the success of your session. Leaving your superhero cape off for the remainder of the day is one of the most supportive choices you can make to facilitate improvement.
Will I experience any side effects after a session?
No. You should experience relief on a deep level because your Grief Release session will guide you through the alignment of your loss-grief experience.
Will this therapy session heal me?
Grief Release practitioners are not healers. We hold the view that healing is an inside job and it is accomplished by removing the blockages that interfere with the balance and alignment of your body, mind and spirit. Your practitioner’s responsibility is to discover, access, and hold the space for you to align with the trauma or symptom experience you present with. This deep state of alignment and balance is where your relief of emotional stress occurs.
